Haven't visited this pub in a long time but dropped in for lunch on the off chance they were serving food, and they were. Decent menu (more "meals" than sandwiches/snacks) but very good quality and the set three course menu looked great value. Really friendly staff, decent selection of beers and drinks. One of my favourite pubs! The food is just wonderful, great traditional home style cooking. Which is just what I needed after a long drive and before an early ferry crossing the next morning. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. There are not enough stars to rate this pub.

Staff very welcoming . Brilliant range of food. I can say this as a vegetarian in a group of 5 meat eaters. Fantastic atmosphere, great service ,had something on the menu for everyone. As an aside for some one who cooks to have a meal that was as good as my table if not better is a MASSSIVE hit for me.
