The Tickled Trout
2 Bridge St, Wye, AshfordQuiet even when full mid-afternoon on a spring Sunday. We'd walked up from Canterbury & had arrived too late (3pm) for the café so waddled along to the Tickled Trout (or Fondled Fish as we knew it in my teens) to see what, if anything, they could do for us. Even at that point they were very busy but found a corner & produced a pair of lovely roasts. Service was efficient & friendly but never pushy. Main course & pud both lovely (weird interpretation of banoffee for me, very good, recommended.)We probably eat there once per year, usually on a Sunday, & it's consistently good.

The Sawyers
Wye, AshfordQuirky micro pub, really friendly staff and dogs are welcome. No ales on draft this visit but they do usually have them. They don't sell hot drinks but there is a great cafe next door.

The Flying Horse
Wye Rd, Boughton Lees, AshfordHaven't visited this pub in a long time but dropped in for lunch on the off chance they were serving food, and they were. Decent menu (more "meals" than sandwiches/snacks) but very good quality and the set three course menu looked great value. Really friendly staff, decent selection of beers and drinks. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.Food & drinks: Haven't visited this pub in a long time but dropped in for lunch on the off chance they were serving food, and they were.
