A true country pub in the most glorious location down some of the smallest lanes in Kent. Locked in a time warp of proper old fashioned hostelries with the first sensation upon walking through the entrance is the fragrant scent of woodsmoke (even though this was a fairly hot day in May). I must say, though that the cleanliness of the glasses are stuck in the same time warp, even though mine (for my can of Guinness) had recently been through the glass washer. There is no perfect pub - but this is absolutely as close as you can get.Well kept local ales, kittens running around, a beautiful garden, delicious ice cream and very hospitable friendly service. Would recommend everyone to stop there when walking near by.
