Very friendly, both other patrons and those working here.Hadn't realised but there is a car park a few yards along the lane that has a gate leading into the pub garden-useful to avoid parking on the road.Beer was well kept.
The Rising Sun is a fantastic little pub in a beautiful location. Chris and Jude are doing a brilliant job behind the bar and in the kitchen. It's what a pub is supposed to be. Always there for regulars and always welcoming for visitors.

Great little local pub, like they use to be. Good local beers simple food well cooked, very pleasant hosts. Frankly what more could you ask for. If you like a good old pub then well worth a visit.
