Beautiful pub delicious food but the reason why it wasn't 5 stars is I booked table for two and stated we had a dog but we arrived and was told we couldn't bring dogs in the restaurant and told to find a table in the bar which was full but luckily a couple left so we grabbed a table. The gluten free options were very limited so not the New Year's Eve dinner I was hoping for. But if you don't have gluten free issues or a dog you will be fine lol

We met with friends for a lunch as we had been recommended to try out The Milk House, even though it was not local to either of us. From the moment we walked in, it just felt right. The dining room is a very nice place to be and good to see it’s not covered in speakers blaring out loud music! Our food arrived promptly and was to a high standard. Service was excellent. We went for an early Friday supper two weeks and had a lovely meal - just the main course. We sat in the bar area, which was gently buzzing. The staff were welcoming and very pleasant. The food was piping hot and it was delicious. From memory, the meal was fairly priced. We would certainly go back.
