To start off with the building is beautiful, with exposed beams, an open fireplace and interesting decor. I was here for a Christmas dinner with my fianceé's employers, the food was delicious, good portions and their Christmas menu was reasonably priced. We really enjoyed our lunch here today after a Christopher Somerville walk around Sidney woods. They made us and our 2 Labradors most welcome and the food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the onion soup.

The Sun is very much a ‘local’. It is a basic, simple pub. The staff are pleasant. The food menu is more interesting than most and you will get 2-3 new dishes to try each visit. In my experience the quality varies but I really appreciate the effort to produce something new and interesting. We went for one Sunday lunch which was very generous, lots of choice and all under £20. Definitely worth a visit
