Brief Encounter Bistro & Bar refreshments rooms
Carnforth Railway Station, Warton Rd, CarnforthHad a wonderful time performing here yesterday as part of The Carnforth Fringe. Very welcoming atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble for the owners for us setting up our stage. This is the second time I have performed at this stunning venue. We have eaten many times here and the food is exceptional, you can tell the chef takes great pride in the presentation of their dishes and the wide range of dishes on offer.

Highfield Fisheries
51 Highfield Rd, CarnforthArrived just before closing on our way home to Stoke. The 2 female staff couldnt have been more pleasant or obliging...putting in chips to cook fresh for my order. Was even told that as they would take a few minutes, my order would be brought out to my car! Was given a card and told if passing through again to ring ahead and they would have my order ready for collection. The chips were fab and the whole experience was so good that we will definitely go again...thanks

A really interesting selection of cask beers brewed a very short distance away ( less than a five minute walk!) Different strengths & the two I tried were very good.
The pub is spotless, it has a small well stocked bar with outside space to one side.
I will definitely return as the first time I was thwarted by the restricted hours on the day visited.
Certainly worth finding to enjoy locally produced beers.

Carnforth Station, Warton Rd, CarnforthA nice place for a drink with a friend or two. If you're heading out in a larger group this might not be the venue for you. Staff are always chatty and welcoming.
