Cold miserable Friday lunchtime. Opened the pub door felt the warm of the heating. Staff member gave a choice of tables to sit at and gave the menus. A good choice of dishes and one not on the menu he informed us about was the game pie. That was the one for the two of us. It came in a dish with a piece of crust sitting on top with peas and MASHED potatoes. This was hot and tasty with large pieces of meat and great gravy. Very nice. What a wonderful place to go to eat, we have only been once before but as we stepped into the place the lovely Katie greeted us like old friends gave us a lovely table and served us all the way through. The food was sublime lambs liver with colcannon in a red wine jus. We will be going again very soon.
