When visiting Lancaster we always pop into the Water Witch for a drink. It's well situated on the side of the canal and we can usually be sure of meeting a few friendly dogs (and owners). The bar staff were friendly and helpful during a wintry afternoon after Christmas. The choice of ale wasn't quite what I would like but the festivities had taken their toll. It's a long, quite narrow pub by the side of Lancaster canal, the narrowest section being in front of the bar. All was really good except it was far too hot! Maybe it was just me. It's a brilliant summer pub as there are masses of canal-side picnic benches. No parking is available on site - the nearest car park is a 5 minute walk. Highly recommended!

The Waterwitch is a canal side gastro pub close to the heart of Lancaster. It has a warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere that draws you in and encourages you to feel both welcome and relaxed.
