First time Trying The Mad Hunter South African Restaurant up above the Palatine Public House. Took my Husband for his birthday and I was not disappointed, beautiful and tasty spring rolls, smoked mussels infused in chilli for starters. I opted for the surf & Turf 5oz steak with an abundance of shelled Prawns. Hubby had a Lamb dish which was served on bread all very flavoursome. Girly meal with friends, the lady serving us was lovely, and the food was above my expectations. The room is a bit sparse looking, and could do with bit of sprucing up, but, we came for food, and it was excellent, and reasonably priced.

Good honest food with hearty portions. The staff were warm & friendly not to mention the price is very reasonable. Definitely will be returning. Thank you Palatine for a lovely meal
