Firstly, important to say this is being written late August 2023. Things can change quickly in the pub trade!Great to see this traditional pub still trading and offering food. I'm told (but haven't first hand experience) that Sunday lunches here are superb and the pub is busy. Meals are also served evenings.I visited a Thursday afternoon for a swift pint. Great local find. Friendly and welcoming staff to us and our dog. Good real ale on tap with Charnwood Brewers Vixen but more to my taste was the Blue Monkey Pale ale, which was delicious ? didn't eat so couldn't rate but will update when we do as menu looked good.

Lovely country pub by the canal.Food was excellent, great pub grub and great prices.Freshly cooked.We were a party of 12 all food was hot and we all had a lovely meal.Staff and locals were friendly with a good selections of drink.Vegetarian options: Plenty of optionsKid-friendliness: Good kids menu
