Called in at the last minute to grab a meal ( five mins before the last order for food) and was made very welcome despite us being last minute! Great meal and friendly staff will definitely return. Husband had his usual gammon and as always requested it to be burnt to a crisp, most places go a little easy on this request but the dog and gun ticked the box as it was done perfectly for him. We are so fortunate to have this as our local. A great choice of ales, fantastic food and a glorious terrace area on a sunny day. Highly recommend the £35 Steak Deal on a Saturday evening - 2 steaks with all the trimmings plus your choice of a bottle of wine to share. Bargain!

Great Sunday lunch with family. Very busy and fully booked. Typical roasts, today was turkey, pork, beef or trio of meats. Couple of interesting vegetarian options too. I reserved via their Facebook Web page. Decent selection of puddings too.A good pub Sunday lunch.
