Brilliant pub, proper "old traditional" Wolds pub in the heart of rural England. Immaculately refurbished freeh house with perfectly prepared beers and outstanding staff. Check for food availability, as it books really quickly. The level of finish of the pub has only increased since its new owners Paula & Ed' have bought it. Had a pre Christmas Christmas dinner it was fantastic. Staff were lovely. There was plenty of food which was fresh and to a high standard. They let us rest between dinner and pudding.

Having convinced the gang to come to the anchor last year, it was so good we did it again this year. We were not disappointed. Great menu, plenty of food. All of it delicious. Fantastic service and a great atmosphere. The best Xmas Dinner out I’ve had this year again. Lovely fish starter and traditional Xmas pud with choice of sauces to finish. We were looked after and not rushed at all. Thank you all for a great meal.
