Went with a large group of friends, preordered our food so everything arrived hot and together. Food was really tasty, we all ordered off the early set menu and portion size was ok but desserts were tiny, cream brulee was a tiny pot of cream brûlée with three large shortbread biscuits. Only down side was the ridiculously high price of drinks. One wine, two gins … £28! Also a shot of samba a was £14.10, a litre in tescos is only £25!

The Priory is a lovely building and it's been decorated nicely, although there seemed to be some sort of issue with the lights as they seemed to dim and brighten randomly in the restaurant. Ordered a burger with cheese and bacon (an extra £1 for each item), it was served with coleslaw and fries. When it arrived, there was lots of space on the plate as if something was missing (but there wasn't). A small cup of fries and the burger wasn't huge either. Very slow service, I was sat with my daughter for 25 mins before I had to get up and ask one of the waiters to take our order as we felt we were being ignored! The waitress came over and apologised for the miscommunication between staff. Food is good, comes out piping hot. I've been here a few times and the service has been very slow no matter what time of day or day you come.
