Two seniors, who happen to live in the same village as this pub, called by pre-booking for a mid-week lunch after a walk. The menu was substantial, the welcome was warm and the meal was first class, and delivered very promptly, although other large parties were also eating. They were very busy for lunch on 1 November (which we were aware of when booking 10 days ahead!) So we agreed on 1.30. They were ready for our party of six. We ordered and service was very prompt. Some of us took advantage of the "small portion" alternative for most mains. Sadly the dessert menu was depleted by the time we got to that stage. :-(
