Our second time here for Sunday lunch. The food is exceptional and excellent service. Great value for money at less than £26 for three delicious courses and generous portion sizes. Would highly recommend for Sunday lunch.
Adequate...... was hoping for much more from the photos and reviews I'd seen. The first thing that hit us was the smell of school dinners! This is an older building, so maybe it was.... The menu is good, some staples and some twists, and what came from the kitchen was wholesome and seemingly home made, apart from the coleslaw which definitely had a battery acid thing going on. The service was polite and efficient.
The absolutely best thing about this restaurant has got to be the staff. We were served by Caroline, who was attentive and observant, as well as friendly and personable. The food was a close second with notably a very generous portion of onion rings, and very tasty options like hake, and steak. Would definitely visit again.
