We’ve been to this cafe several times and know that it’s very popular and always busy. Having arrived at noon on a Monday we were surprised at having to queue for over 20 minutes to get a table, despite the fact that upstairs tables were being vacated every few minutes. Once at a table we waited another 15 minutes for a waitress to come to take our order (during that time we asked passing servers twice for service). Waited a few minutes for a table but to be expected on a Saturday lunchtime, Excellent service from Ruby. Drinks came straight away; food took a little longer than expected but wasn’t too bad, as said previously it was Saturday lunch.

This where my friend and I love to go for lunch when we have a day out in Lincoln. We ordered soup, a toasted sandwich and pot of tea. The food was absolutely wonderful. The soup was homemade vegetable and so flavoursome. We both chose a mushroom and vegan cheese toasted sandwich which was also really tasty. Ruby our waitress was so helpful and super polite she couldn't do any more for us, a joy to have had her as our waitress.
