We are new to Navenby. Took a walk to the Lion and Royal. What a find. Roaring log fire on the go. Some pub games to play, cards, connect 4, domino's etc. Great range of beers. Good guiness but also a very cheeky plum porter. Really lovely staff. Landlord popped over to say hello. Ordered some grub. Trad pub fare. Scampi and chips, lasagne and garlic bread. Really nice local old fashioned pub very welcoming, a little disappointed last time as 5or6 people very loud and swearing really bad, was quite embarrassed for my wife who is not used to this sort of behavior.?

Great traditional village pub.We visited the pub for a pool match on a Thursday night. The pub had a good atmosphere with plenty of happy people and a fire burning in the main room. With a beer garden outback im sure it would be Great on a summertime night. Staff were nice and friendly too, prices are normal for a village pub. The food provided was nice, so I plan on going back with the family sometime to try the menu, I will update once I've been back.
