We started going to my Dad’s local The Chancel for Sunday lunch since January. It’s so good we now go every week. There’s a special offer for 3 courses but even 2 courses is good value and the food is homemade and excellent. The main course is always hot and perfectly cooked, good portions too, which is why we only manage 2 courses. A great visit to this gem , that's just on our doorstep. Offered 3 courses for £9.99 and why not. Tried the garlic mushrooms with garlic bread, very garlicky (just the way I like it) Roast dinner with all the trimmings, Yorkshire puddings best I'd had in ages. Very nice old pub feel. Clean and tidy and the staff are really friendly. Good to hear music from the 70's 80's and 90's. First time there and would be happy to return.
