One of the oldest boozers in Kirkby is The Peacock Pub ,a pub I always enjoy dropping into as I live only around the corner from it. A traditional pub ,multi roomed ,pubby decor and furnishings ,big screens to enjoy the sport and lots of seating both inside and outside ,a lovely pub to unwind in. The Peacock is a traditional estate pub on Bigdale Drive that offers a decent range of well priced drinks and is the only pub that's left in Northwood.The Peacock has a really nice interior with superb decor and superb furnishings. This pub has been here for as long as I can remember and was busy when we visited in the afternoon.On our visit we had a couple of pints of Guinness which where top notch and well priced.This is a superb pub and is well worth visiting and easy to find...read full review

Friendly, old fashioned boozer. I've only ever been in for a pre-match drink ( it's 2 minutes walk from Kirkdake Station, and less than 15 minutes walk to Goodison Park ) and would imagine it's pretty quiet on non-match days.In some ways, it's nothing special, but there's a bit of nostalgia involved in going to a "proper pub" which isn't a Wetherspoons or some other chain.
