This is a marmite place, love it or hate it! And when its good, it's very very good, and when its bad its horrid! But I've missed it since its been shut, but its had a makeover while its been shut, its lovely, manager and staff doing their best to keep social distancing going, staff cleaning tables quickly and wearing masks. All good up to now, nice to see the regular faces again, and of course Frank! Don't get why our 4 legged friends are let in on a nice new carpet though!Update:...read full review
Reopened after lockdown and great to see old friends and new. Always real ale, real music (live) and real nice people. Plenty of other international draught and bottled beers. Fantastic selection of gins and backed up by several whiskys. Small venue with big attitude making for great nights and great memories.

Definitely the best venue on South Road for live music, maybe in all of Crosby/Waterloo actually. Staff are really friendly, the people are really friendly, it's overall just a great place to go for a drink.
