Lovely atmosphere, we visited as a family of four on a Christmas shopping day to Liverpool. I have Coeliac disease so can't have wheat/gluten. All the pizza / pasta / starter dishes could be gluten-free, which is so refreshing! I opted for a pollo pasta and cheesy garlic bread. Trattoria 51, a lovely authentic Italian restaurant, both in food and family. Our party (6) originally had a booking at another restaurant for a birthday meal, however on entering that restaurant, the clientele and decibels were not appropriate for a family affair with two young daughters. Trying to book a table for 6 on a Saturday later afternoon early evening is difficult at the best of times, but running up to Xmas is very difficult. Went here for lunch, even though it was busy, and we hadn’t pre booked, they managed to find a table for two very quickly. Lovely atmosphere, lovely food. Didn’t wait long for food or drinks. Hostess was really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend. Ian & Angela.
