Just off the train at St.Helens jcn coming home from Old Trafford and in need of food fix...China Garden was nearest option. Staff very friendly, open-plan so kitchen visible, I like this they've nothing to hide. Ordered 1 appetiser and 1 main with rice...over £14 seemed to me so expensive, but not being accustomed to take-aways I'm probably just out of touch with pricing, on the plus side I found portion size to be enormous, I'm single so I didn't get good value for money...read full review

No idea why this place has got such bad reviews. We order here now and then and the food is always tasty and hot. Maybe the other people are "paupers" (to quote one reviewer) and ordering chips rather than actual Chinese dishes because the chips are the only thing we don't like.

Food absolutely terrible but they did refund the order, I have gave them 2 purely on the fact that they delivered my refund by cash. I hope my order was just a lapse but I’ll never order from here again.
