My wife needed double cream to make a banoffee pie. The shelves were empty on Friday during bank holiday jubilee. We asked Francine, who was filling the milk shelves on a step ladder. She stopped what she was doing and went out back to look for double cream. There was none there and she came back with single cream. Cons: EXPENSIVE!!!Pros: You can feel the difference between the main chains. Obviously the M&S has an excellent quality of food, clean floor, price tags - no confusion! Helpful staff. Food quality is important for me. Highly recommended to everyone who is looking after their health

Went to Edge Lane at 06:00 and there was nothing in there, had to go to Speke, which wasn't great for stock, but a lot better than Edge Lane!! Staff had a lot more urgency about them and they even had time to have a look for stock which we made the trip especially for, Mathew and Michael seemed like nothing was too much trouble!
