Having used this fish and chip shop for many years and always been very happy with the quality of the food, this time the chips were disgusting. They were almost black in colour and very very floppy. Possibly a need of cooking oil change caused it but certainly not up to their usual high standard.
My husband and I used to go to Ocean Wave before lockdown and the fish and chips are excellent. As others have said, the fish are large so we cut one in half. With the large quantity of chips (I can't believe the reviewer who said that the portion of chips was stingy!) one serves both of us - and we are quite hearty eaters!! A wonderful chippy. The food is perfect, and the service is always prompt and with a smile. Occasionally they are closed due to staffing stuff, which is always disappointing as we can't match the quality easily!Dietary restrictions: Not sure if gluten free is an option!
