We booked for a group of 7 people, to celebrate the life of a very special family member, who died 3 years ago. our choice was made because , it was one of , “ his favourite” places to drink and eat. Most of us opted for the Sunday Roast, and one of our party, for the steak and Ale Pie. Without a doubt, one of my favourite pubs on the Wirral for atmosphere, extremely friendly staff and great food. Came here for a meal with friends last Saturday and as ever, the food and service were excellent. We all had different things from the menu and everyone's plates were licked clean even though the portions are large. I highly recommend the steak & ale pie as it comes with the most delicious gravy. We visited the Fox and Hounds for a birthday lunch. There were six of us, all ordering different meals and requesting changes to suit our individual tastes. All meals arrived as ordered without any problems. The food was tasty, the portions generous- especially the steak and ale pie - and the service friendly and helpful. An ideal place for a special occasion.
