Despite some other very negative reviews, we were pleased with our afternoon tea experience. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We were the only guests there and it was really nice to have it to ourselves. The background music was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. Found 1066 more by luck than judgement. So popped in for lunch and it is really lovely. The three of us all ordered the fish and chips and it was delicious. It’s a beautiful place and Hazel is absolutely lovely. Definitely be returning.

Decided to try this restaurant for a birthday lunch for my daughter and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was inviting and comfortable, the service was excellent - very accommodating, efficient and friendly - and the food was a delight. Five very happy customers! I shall be visiting again.
