Have been traveling around the world for years now, but this particular place have the friendliest stuff ever! Seriously- have never stayed in more welcoming place then this! If the owner reads this - Dean an Jenny - do not lose them two - hit them with massive payrise ?

Friendly welcoming pub. Definitely need to pre book. We both opted for the Wed's evening fish specials menu. Good value and very tasty. Beers reasonably priced. Accommodation was clean and the bed comfortable. However I'd recommend requesting a room at the rear as the road was very busy and noisy at the front. Excellent breakfast included ? very accommodating with bike storage. Would stay again.Walkability: Isolated on main road nothing nearby to walk to.

We dropped in for mid-week lunch on the off-chance, not having booked. The welcome was very warm and we were showed to a table without delay. The menu options were not hugely extensive, but there is something for everyone. My wife had scampi and I had the lasagne. Being reasonably quiet, our food was delivered without undue delay. Both dishes were well presented and delicious, especially the dressing on my side salad. The staff were very pleasant, attending to our needs immediately....read full review
