Popped in quite by chance when I was boring my ever patient wife about the sad demise of the Wisbech and Upwell tramway. Joanne's certainly perked her up ready for the second half of the journey to Sheringham, home of the North Norfolk railway. Cracking breakfast for me and a lovely omelette for Mrs P. Next time you're hunting down the site of a Tramway in Norfolk I'd heartily recommend Joanne's. (Just stay away from Wisbech. It's a shit hole)

2nd time visiting this pub

Positives:
* Everyone appears to know everyone there, as such it's a nice sociable atmosphere ?
* Very reasonable bar prices ? * Ample free parking and outside smoking area
* Has a beer garden (not been in it due to visiting in winter)

Has a monthly quizz night and regularly has live music on.

Does not provide food hence 1 star rating, but they do offer snacks and there is a lovely chip shop across the road.

Only negative if I'm being picky: is the location of the toilets, if you're in the lounge bar and you need the bathroom it can be difficult traversing the dance floor to get to the bathroom (if there is a live band or live DJ playing as dance floor gets packed)

I will return, in fact I'm planning on becoming a regular ??

Whhhhhhhhhat! Just got the BEST fry up I have had in a very long time!! Too many places now using cheap items BUT not at this hidden gem! Everything was delicious! The sausages and bacon were just pure quality as was everything else in the box! And fried bread, FRIED BREAD!!! OLD-SCHOOL style, cooked perfectly soft with just enough crunch, not brittle and dry like a lot of other places. And I can't even find the words to describe how good the black pudding was! Enjoy a coffee and a chat whilst waiting for your takeout or eat-in, in this warm and friendly pub. Good vibes and good food!

Lisa and Wanda have done wonders with this place.it is now a warm welcoming environment, and their roasts are something else.they do take reservations now for food,and I can't recommend this place enough,it's homely,it's clean and got a great atmosphere. Dogs are welcomed too.
Good luck to Lisa and Wanda, please don't go anywhere else!!!
