38-40 Freeman St, Wells-next-the-SeaWe had a fantastic time at Wells Crabs House - it was probably the best seafood either of us have had. Service was excellent and friendly - we are not experienced with eating fresh lobster but the staff were happy to give us pointers and advice. Booking is essential as we saw several walk-in parties get turned away. Prices were reasonable considering the quality, and the atmosphere was excellent. Highly recommended!

Three Horseshoes Warham
69 The St, Warham, Wells-next-the-SeaSeptember 2025 was my first visit to The three horseshoes, everything from my arrival to departure was absolutely perfect! The premises itself is just stunning, they have a beautiful outdoor space with seating under cover and out in the sunshine, the pub itself is like going back in time so warm comfortable and inviting. I was greeted so warmly by the landlady and all the staff on arrival. They have a good choice of beers and wine to be enjoyed at your leisure. The menu is amazing and the quality of the food is top notch! The pies are to die for while still being so reasonably priced. Will I be visiting again?

Fortune House Chinese Take Away
16 Northfield Ln, Wells-next-the-SeaPopped in for some urgent chips , the other night - great chips, by the way! - and picked up a menu. Went back next evening for a proper takeaway and it was great! Good food, well cooked, lovely service, reasonable prices too - we'll be back!

Fish pie was our favourite!
Staff are very friendly and attentive and we ate there several times during our stay,

The Globe Inn
The Buttlands, Wells-next-the-SeaThe food was absolutely phenomenal. We came during Wells carnival so it was very busy, but we were seated quickly and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Amazing atmosphere in the pub, we were served by Emilie and she really helped make the night unforgettable. I can't recommend this place more!

10 The Quay, Wells-next-the-SeaBest Fish n Chips in Wells! We've been coming here for years and the quality is always incredible. Cod is fresh, lovely batter and nice scampi too. It is worth the queue, promise. The staff are flat out these summer months but still are smiley and efficient (Thank you). ?

73 Staithe St, Wells-next-the-SeaThe most lovely young woman served us with ice cream. Really friendly and helpful. I had a lovely vegan vanilla ice cream and my partner had the salted caramel which he said was really think and delicious. We sat outside and watched the world go by.

Fortune House
281 Wootton Rd, King's LynnWe live almost 10 miles away from this Chinese and therefore we have at least four or five other Chinese restaurants and takeaways in closer proximity to home. However, fortune house trumps the lot. Myself or my wife are more than happy to drive the extra distance for good food. The service is always very friendly. The food is excellent and their portions are generous. ( I’m 60 and have experienced quite a number of Chinese takeaways in my time) and Fortune House are up there with the best of them.G&T

Beach Road, Wells-next-the-SeaLarge and modern cafe next to the Wells beach parking area, with easy access to the beach and to the walks down the coast. Busy but friendly and efficient. Decent selection of cafe style fare, and reasonable prices given the location and convenience.

12A The Quay, Wells-next-the-SeaWas on a day trip so fish and chips were a must. What a great place. Friendly and helpful staff. The biggest portion of cod & chips I've ever had. Absolutely beautiful. Wish I lived nearer.
