Staying at a lodge in the area for partners birthday so booked a table here for Saturday evening.All I can say is excellent, excellent and excellent!Food, service atmosphere, everything you want for an enjoyable evenings dining.I'm 58 yrs old and I've dined all over the UK, and can honestly say that this was by far one of the tastiest meals I've ever had.Starter, main course and sweet were out of this world,and the staff couldn't do enough for you, and the cost was a lot cheaper...read full review

Didn't get the opportunity to eat as they were not serving food until Friday unfortunately.Had a couple of different Timothy Taylor beers which were new to me and both were excellent. Great local village pub with a friendly atmosphere and cracking beers ... What more could you want?

Really nice calm friendly atmosphereFood was lovely, we had the full Parmo meal and the steak and ale pie and they did not disappoint. Portions are big and taste great!Beers and cider were very nice.
