We went for my pre-birthday meal and it was so refreshing to have a menu that my partner and I didn’t have to choose from a limited vegetarian menu as it is all vegan! Don’t be toxic and think that’s a bad thing our friend came and he really enjoyed his meal even though he wasn’t a veggie. The service was impeccable, really friendly and attentive staff. They were fast without being rushed and super nice without being interruptive of our meal. I had the WTF (what the focaccia) burger with fries and both were to die for, such big portions I was full to bursting. My partner had the Chili dog and he was thrilled as veggie hot dogs are to come by these days! The chocolate milkshake was FANTASTIC! I’m a big enthusiast of a shake and it was sooo good! It’s also dog friendly which is always a big bonus and they loved our little Fred and even he was catered to with treats and water. We will most certainly be back and they made the day before my birthday a great success! Great job from all the team!

Bassletons Fish Bar
64 High St, Stokesley, MiddlesbroughVisited for the first time at the weekend instead of my usual chip shop on the basis of reviews. I'm often disappointed when visiting new fish and chip shops but not this one, the food was lovely and I was pleasantly surprised at the price being lower than I expected. This place will now be on my list of good food places.

Carlton in Cleveland, StokesleyOnly visiting for a meal with family. The area is nice, a small pub with cramped seating. But the food was brilliant.
Very rare a place that is staple for Thai food also cook pub classics very well. My Pad khee moa was very nice, my wife's lasagna looked brilliant. Both really large portions.

Very attentive service in house and catered for our individual needs. We otdered 3 starters and 2 meals and it was enough to get 2 meals out of everything.
The food was piping hot, even when we got home and it tasted delicious.

Market Pl, Stokesley, MiddlesbroughLovely place. Dogs are welcome. Staff are always friendly. The food is fresh. There are breakfast items, soup, sandwiches, etc. Good selection of hot drinks. If you can get a window seat, you can watch the world go by.

39 High St, Stokesley, MiddlesbroughBooked in for Sunday dinner 26/05/24. Arrived early, though we were seated and orders taken upon arrival. Food arrived shortly after. We both went for the large, 3 meat Sunday dinner and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Everything was delicious ? albeit my wife had one niggle which was that the Yorkshire was abit over done. However £13 each well spent on a lovely meal!

The Buck Inn
Chop Gate, MiddlesbroughCamped her whilst walking the coast to coast and couldn’t have been happier with any aspect of our stay. the owner Wolfgang was extremely welcoming and had me along with the other 5 guests completely entranced by his fascinating stories and hilarious jokes. If anyone is in the Chopgate area this is a most visit. the Food was amazing as was the german beer. Had me ready for my next day of the coast to coast and Wolfgang offered his advice on a route back onto the trail. I honestly have nothing negative to say about my time and the Buck Inn

The Truffled Hog
28 College Square, Stokesley, MiddlesbroughWas really confused by the cafe, it was expensive but regardless of the expense it was the menu and lack of childrens options that was disapointing.. but the children's options was literally a ham or cheese sandwich.. but the ham is Gammon type ham, which the woman on the till did say its thick ham so they might not like it... so obviously had that feedback before, and out of the four children we bought ham sandwiches for all four barely touched it their sandwiches and turned their noses up to it and they left hungry, thankfully had the ice-cream which was nice, but to say it's in a location that is aimed at families the cafe is far from child friendly I was shocked if I'm honest, and there was only a small chalkboard with about six items on the menu for the entire cafe, so just found the whole set up strange, barely anything on the menu and such a lack of options for children. Think you've tried to be fancy and completely missed the market, if I returned I would bring a packed lunch we left disapointed and confused at the whole set up.

Market Pl, Stokesley, MiddlesbroughStopped off for lunch on our way to the coast. Excellent food was well presented and delicious. Service was prompt and friendly.
The menu was extensive with a great mix of light and more fulsome items. Coffee was excellent too.

We enjoyed meatballs , brusheta and the best cheese souffle served with a large pot of tea .
The staff we're lovely and we will definitely return.
