We went for a lovely meal at the Black swan on 25th August 2022. I had chicken breast with garlic and mushroom sauce, new potatoes, perfectly cooked purple cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and freshly roasted parsnips. We shared the veg and hubby had the steak and ale pie. All fresh cooked. No artificial flavours detected. Excellent meals at a good price good beer and staff very good even helping to connect to the internet we went there after seeing the price of stake at the George £40 I did not think I could eat half a cow if that's what you got for that price.
We had a stew and dumplings and a steak and ale pie here today - both meals were great value, and the steak came in great hearty chunks. The gravy was about my only quibble, there wasn't anything "wrong" with it but it had gelatinous blobs (not meaty bits) that I could scoop off to the side of the plate.
