Me and Craig back on the Foodie Tour last night, with a welcome return visit to Shoulder of Mutton Pub, Middleton Tys Both had the Scotch Egg to start. Delicious ? The Tomato Relish and Onion Rings really set this dish off to perfection ? I had the Grilled Salmon with seasonal veggies - excellent, very enjoyable ? Highly recommend The Shoulder of Mutton. We managed to book a table at last minute and when we arrived we could see reservations on all other tables. We soon found out why - the food was fantastic. We had fish and chips and the steak and ale pie (well worth the wait for the freshly cooked pie). This is a lovely cosy pub. The staff were polite and friendly. They made us feel very welcome. We have eaten at the Shoulder of Mutton a number of times over the last 6-8 months We always receive a warm welcome and excellent food and service. My husband is always impressed with the cask ale and I enjoy the great selection of wine. What more could anyone ask for!
