We had a day out in this lovely city and chanced on the Hive for lunch and glad we did! Hubby had a ploughmans lunch and i had a tuna crunch sandwich served with a good salad, dressing and crisps.Both were excellent value and tasty. Hubbys ploughmans was all good quality-the ham, cheese, pie, etc. Good coffee and yorkshire tea too! We took banana loaf and yorkshire tea loaf home-lush! It’s easy to support new local businesses when they are this good. The freshly baked cakes/scones were just great as was the coffee. They have a good range of cakes and drinks available and a nice play area for young children. Friendly helpful staff and good prices. I suspect I will become a regular. ??☕️

Vegetarian options: They did vegan options which was great for a small light lunch and they had thought about it. It wasn't a lettuce and tomato sandwich which I've been offered before and they had soya and oat milk and vegan flapjack tooDietary restrictions: Great little humble cafe serving simple food. I'm vegan and it was great to see there was more than one option.
