We really like it here. Visited multiple times over the years and haven't been disappointed.Our recent visits was for dinner and the following day for breakfast.The same chap served us both days who was very pleasant and attentive.I love how the place is decorated with old pictures of scarborough and its always clean here.We had fish chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea. Went here after walking downhill from Scarborough Castle of the hottest day in September (9/9/2023). When we came in, the foreperson said that there may be some tables at the back that could fit us (tables and chairs on ground floor bolted down.) We were barely able to fit in, so one of the members of staff, Julie, said that we could eat upstairs as the chair were able to be pulled out and would be more comfortable for us. Always go here when we visit Scarborough. The food is great and it's reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and serve you quickly. It's always clean and tidy too. I would highly recommend to families with children, like myself.Kid-friendliness: They provide highchairs and have children's options on the menu.
