I have never been in a Papas restaurant before but really enjoyed this lunch meal. Nice staff, pleasant surroundings. Our fish and chips were lovely and quickly delivered to our table. The fish was great and my husband enjoyed the curry sauce. Love the chandeliers. There is a Papas near where I live so will certainly give it a visit.
We popped in to the Whitby Papa's fish bar for the first time for a take away on the 26th September. The fish was cooked fresh and we came in just as the chips were coming out. Now, I'm a southerner and one of the reasons we come north is for the fish and chips, they are by far the best and we were not disappointed. The batter was light, the chips cooked beautifully and the mushy pea, well, the best ever. If you can go crazy about mushy pea, this was the time. Let me not forget...read full review

The food was ok the chips were a bit cold and lots of ends on couple of plates it was a bit expensive to be honest when we got home we realised our daughter had lost her ring £400 i rang the restaurant for a few days about 5 times to see if anybody had found it they never bothered to answer the phone on a couple of times I rang they picked the phone up and put it straight down again thankfully she has found it now xx
