Dropped in at the Golden Lion while visiting Whitby, lovelly 'Irish' bar near the sea front. Great pint of Guiness. Last time we visited there was some musicians playing..must have missed them this time. Excellent atmosphere, friendly staff and dog friendly....
whilst having a short break in whitby,we pop in for one drink and realised there was live music so we ended up staying till chucking out timefabulous night had by all,music was great and others patrons were very friendly and chattydefinitely would return

A great find, we happened to pop in on a Thursday evening where a local music group gather, a brilliant evening with great music, the saying you walk in as a stranger and leave as a friend really is true in this fantastic pub ?
