Can’t recommend this place enough, they squeezed us in for our wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed - the food was lovely, had a variety of options (I had the lamb and my hubby had the poor man’s lobster) the service was amazing and we even got to have a drink with the owner and his wife who were fabulous!
A visit to Whitby was a triumph after a most memorable late lunch in Velveteen.Firstlyhaving delicious cocktails at Cafe Monmatre served by Danny who very kindly personally made our reservation to eat at Velveteen(thanks again)Food ambiance & hospitality was exceptional with a warm welcome from Jean-Claude & Jans wonderful platters served pleasantly by Grace.Thank you from Newcastle

A great restaurant in Whitby, delicious food and a great ambiance. It’s great to see Monsieur le Patron chatting to the clientele, he is very charming and wonderful to talk to. I’ve had a few meals in Whitby and our experience at Velveteen was, by far, the best - Merci pour un dîner parfait.
