Had a lamb starter, chicken vindaloo and special rice. The lamb starter was lovely. The meat was really nice and tender and plenty of it. The rice was flavoursome and really good too but the vindaloo was really poor. It had no flavour what's so ever other than the 4 tablespoons of chilli powder. It needed some lemon or vinegar or something to lift it up a little bit. Couldn't taste any fresh spices or anything in it, the heat was there but no flavour. Visited this evening for the first time as a family to celebrate my nephew’s birthday- absolutely great service and such a lovely restaurant - very busy when we arrived and can see why - we all had something different from the menu and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their well presented tasty meals - will definitely be returning

We had booked a short break in York over New Year, and reserved a table for our party of 6 for New Year's Eve. As the reservation had been made on 3 October, we checked the day before, to confirm our attendance. There's nothing to say, other than we had a great experience, with food and service absolutely spot on. We don't live locally, so are unlikely to visit again soon, but if we lived nearby we'd be regulars. Excellent in all respects
