Arrived in York for a short break, and ended up here. It would not have been our first choice, but there was available space for our party. A pretty mixed experience. We were given a carafe of iced water, very nice but useless without glasses to drink it from. Then we ordered drinks, but cappuccino not available as they had no milk. Loved the Friday Fizz. Young bar man (has 2 earrings and a student) was very friendly and helpful with the cocktail choices too! A young black waiter served us and was very attentive and courteous even after having to move tables twice due to difficulties using the higher seating area. Will def come

Lively even in January. Not a bad venue for a mid-week girly catchup. But a little expensive and not a regular haunt for us. Good music though, even if some of the clientelle were a little dubious looking. And yes they liked to look.
