Out of the blue we wanted to eat out but somewhere different. We pulled up in the carpark to find an old world building. We didn't book but a a table was cleared for up in the old inglenook. We had some lovely waitresses and bar maids who made us feel welcome. The food choice was large and vegetarian option was really good for my partner. A real community pub close to the M1 so a useful stopover for good food and drinks, quickly served. Always a wide menu of home cooked food at reasonable prices. The Red Lion never disappoints.

We were a large family group on holiday on a narrowboat and celebrated a 21st birthday at the pub. Asked in advance, Paul willingly arranged balloons and a gorgeous freshly made personalised cake. We had a great evening with good pub grub, served efficiently and with a smile. Thankyou!
