Pots Of Pleasure
13 The Square, BallyclareVery busy Saturday lunchtime. Warmly greeted and got a table quickly. Other people arriving after us were turned away. Advisable to book a table in advance. Lovely sunny day in August. Parked nearby. Food was delicious. Lemon meringue pie was home-made. A lovely cafe to visit.

Deja-Brew
2a Station Rd, Doagh, BallyclareFirst visit after plenty of recommendations. Cannot fault the food, prices nor the friendly staff. Only downside is the size although plenty of covered seating outside if the weather is good. Always busy. Also offer carry out service if place is full and you’re happy to eat in the car. As Arnie says- I’ll be back!

Kathmandu Inn
91 Templepatrick Rd, BallyclareHad the beautiful pleasure of being invited to a very close friend's birthday celebration, of which was set in this restaurant,
A very extensive choice offered within the menu, and all of which was availed of on the night.
As there was a lot of people invited.
For starters my wife and I shared the chilli chicken, of which was very tasty and hot, and was enough for two, as there was a mains to go next as well as either dessert or birthday cake.
I had the tandoori special, which consists of chicken lamb and shish kebab, the chicken is served on the bone, it also comes with a choice of sides, rice, chips, naan etc..
My wife opted for the chicken tikka masala, with rice and a plain naan.
The drinks were paid separately, or when post ordering them, as in when they came to the table.
Both dishes were exceptional and served in a very professional and pleasant manner.
The staff were extremely good at serving the food, as there was an extreme amount of dishes to be served.
And everything was delivered smoothly and efficiently.
It is the first time of which we have dined in this restaurant, and with the dishes served and service and quality, we will be back.
It is reasonably priced for restaurant food, and a service charge is applicable with certain numbers within the amount of people in the group.
A very memorable dining experience.

Lily's Kitchen
Station Rd, Doagh, BallyclareFrom the outside, it doesn't look like a Chinese takeaway. I passed it so many times without realising.

STEAMERS COFFEE SHOP
954 Antrim Rd, Templepatrick, BallyclareCalled in on my way back from Belfast and I am glad I did.
After selecting the omelette with cheese ham (real ham not processed out of a packet) and tomato with a portion of chips (dont judge me it was 1pm and I hadn't eaten for 23hrs)
When it arrived all I can say is Wow it was most likely the best omelette I've ever eaten including many I have had in 5 star hotel restaurants!
Normally quality is off set by quantity but not in this great cafe (I could have done without the chips) I made a point of asking the girl serving me to pass on my thanks to the chef (she was also very polite helpful and just enough chat without being overwhelming)
Give it a go its well worth it.

Maud's At Cafe 3
3 Granges St, BallyclareHas to be the best ice cream anywhere, pricey but you get what you pay for and to be honest these days cheap is expensive so I believe in buying the best. The daughter and grand kids love this place/make. Only stopped in a couple of times for a drink and it was fine and happily would go again.

Lylehill Tavern
96 Lylehill Rd, Templepatrick, BallyclareA truly wonderful old fashioned country local community hub, public bar. Owned and managed solely for the past 20 years by an exceptional elderly lady who was the true heart beat of the tavern. The welcome and warmth was so endearing and relaxing. The usual regulars and clientele is very friendly and the fun and craic is truely wonderful especially from the younger generation of locals. young farmers etc, and a special big shout out to the likes of : James Russell and his cousin Mark. Ewan Hall who is so special ,he give Layne so much fun and pleasure. Cant fail to give a big mention to a very special man that Layne was very fond and proud of _ Ryan Wray and also a soft spot for his brother Mark. There are many many more I could mention but I don't want to name everyone and maybe cause offense if I happen to leave someone out. They all already know how much Layne thought of them and appreciated their friendship, craic and custom. Before I sign off!!! it would be very remiss of me if I didn't mention a very special man, who was always helpful and not only caring and attentive to Layne through having a kind heart. Roy Logan. I will be forever in his debt With the deepest sorrow and hurt alas Layne decided it was time to move on to where she always knew where she would eventually arrive _ HEAVEN. God bless and hold her in his loving arms now she is united with David.

Cornerstone Cafe
18 Main St, Doagh, BallyclareIv ordered from Cornerstone numerous times over the past couple of months & the food is brilliant each time. It’s usually delivery, which is always quick & if not they will let you know on the phone if they are busier and could be a little delayed. Food is always piping hot & good portion sizes! Can’t fault it, wouldn’t get a chippy anywhere else around the area now.

Mauds Parlour Templepatrick
3 Shopping Centre, 954 Antrim Rd, Templepatrick, BallyclareQuaint wee mauds shop in Templepatrick. Not a huge amount of space and usually queued out the door but worth the wait as their ice cream is excellent. Went for honeycomb, belgian chocolate and salted caramel on our last visit and it was really tasty. Friendly staff and a nice clean wee place.

Piccolos
5 Rashee Rd, BallyclareI'm a long time customer and to be honest it's the only takeaway in Ballyclare that we can all agree on in our house. Food always arrives fresh and staff are great.
The new chips are a big let down for me. They're similar quality to a supermarket value chip with too many small ones that aren't even enjoyably crispy. They also don't hold their heat the same way the proper chippy chips did.
Hoping it's a supply issue and things will come back to normal ?? Would happily pay a bit more to get back to better quality chips.

The Clarence
1 Hillhead Rd, BallyclareGo here every time I am in Ballyclare and it is always great and people working there are really lovely. One thing to note however is that they do seem to increase price quite often, it's quite the gamble every time one is at the till but then you'll probably find most chip shops are always doing that these days lol. However, it'll probably take a staggering price increase for me to stop going here because the food is just so good ?
