It’s such a treat to finally have somewhere in Alnwick that feels a bit more like an upmarket and classy bistro.From the beautifully tasteful decor that creates an elegant ambience, attentive and knowledgeable staff and cosy atmosphere it really felt like a special place from start to finish. The food was good, especially the leek and mushroom wellington, although the smoked beetroot starter wasn't very smoky, it was paired nicely with the chicory. The sticky toffee pudding was very tasty.The service was the only slight disappointment and could be improved as we had to work quite hard to get the servers attention but the server was very polite and in general the place was very agreeable. 4.5 rating I think is fair.Vegetarian options: The wellington was fantasti

We visited for New Year’s Eve dinner. Greeted by a polite friendly staff member and shown to our table. We had a 3 course meal and every course was amazing. They were served promptly, looked great but most of all tasted delicious, our mains were venison and halibut but the sauces were outstanding. This was our first visit and far exceeded our expectations but we will definitely be back. This is a must for anyone looking for a meal in Alnwick. Outstanding!!!
