Grannies is a cosy cafe with a lovely atmosphere, located downstairs in Alnwick. It has a small seating area with only a few tables, but the staff is happy to accommodate reservations for a later time. The menu offers a great choice, including popular items such as Grannies Breakfast, the bacon and egg teacake, the smoked salmon stack, and the highly-recommended chicken, stuffing and bacon club sandwich. The food is tasty and generously portioned, with good prices to match. The staff is lovely and provides excellent service. However, please note that the cafe is not accessible to all due to its steep stairs.
