Terrific food. I had the calves liver which is not something I have tried before.. it was lovely. Others in our party all had something different, all were very pleased. Struggled to make it to deserts
This pub came up on a Campervan website ans as close to A1 we Called ahead and asked if ok to park if we had food . The owner was very welcoming and we parked up on a nice level car park . The pub resturant is very warm with welcoming staff and guests . Food not cheapest but if you want quality food this is the best we have experienced in s long time ! Went for dinner on a cold January night ! The welcome was very warm !! The food was excellent. We both had the mushroom soup which was delicious. I had the salmon & king prawn cassoulet my husband had the liver. Both were excellent. We finished off with a delicious cheesecake. The menu is very imaginative and the chef is very good. There is an extensive wine list and locally brewed beer on offer. We will return on our next visit to Northumberland.
