My wife and myself are in the area visiting local castles and following a 5hr car journey decided to have a chippy tea, food was cooked to order and very tasty, pop in if your in the area, very nice

Oddfellows in Haydon Bridge is worth a visit. Today we tucked into substantial and delicious toasties. The Triple cheese toastie is totally sublime. Our friend described the Bacon, Brie and cranberry as a taste sensation! All topped off with Iced latte and an Americano. The warm Date and oat slice hit the spot. Many thanks Rosie! ?

We’ve tried to buy decent fish and chips since relocating back to West Northumberland. Our disappointment and quest came to an end after we visited Haydon Bridge Fish & Chip shop. Succulent fish. Crispy batter well done, as requested. Big firm chips, no small scrappy ones. £7 a portion. The best fish and chips we’ve had for many years. No aftertaste of stale oil either.
