Absolutely stunning place. ?Took a trip for a meal in the restaurant for Valentines day. Service was outstanding, polite attentive staff. The drawing room was very impressive.Food.....OMG! We stayed just for 1 night on 4/2/24 .... Castle was lovely to be inside of for food and drinks but we found it very quiet and not much to do on site unless you were staying for more than 1 night and using this as a base from which to explore the wonderful Northumberland area .... but for just a 1 night stay it was a bit disappointing to be honest .... although the food we had was lovely albeit a bit pricey .... Stayed one night in Radcliffe Room. Absolutely stunning. Massive bed, original castle windows and doors, hotel was lovely and warm even though it was cold, wet and windy outside. Staff were great. Food delicious. Highly recommended for a treat away. And I'd also recommend the free castle tour.
