Had a lovely impromptu visit here. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was calm when we arrived.We thoroughly enjoyed the pork roast dinner, and as we were so keen to eat, we forgot to take any photos for this review!The food tasted home made and was presented excellently. The portion was great, we appreciated the offer of extra veg and gravy though.We were very pleased with the separate dog friendly room so we could bring the dog along with us.Definitely would visit again...read full review
Only had a quick drink, very nice place, friendly staff, Sat by the fire, clean & cosy place, nice outdoor seating area when the weather is warmer. Beautiful surroundingsNearby activities: Plenty of walks to explore with a lot of mining history

Decent pint, proper grub with good portions and very reasonably priced, very good service, friendly and welcoming - what’s not to like! Highlights include the garlic prawns, shin of beef with horseradish mash and what they call a panna cotta but is something special all of their own. Make a point of stopping by.
