We were en route from Newcastle to Inverness and looking for a stop late morning. Warm welcome, good food and coffee. I had the most delicious cheese scone, served warm. Husband enjoyed a (large) toastie made with local bread, cheese and proper ham and served with a substantial salad. Food on counter also looked delicious but alas it was a very warm day and we had no way of keeping it cool. Highly recommend.

Great little cafe. Right on the roadside. Really nice food even got a Sunday dinner on a Sunday whilst travelling north to Scotland. Soups, sandwiches, toasties and milkshakes are also good. Doubles up as a little shop also with sweets, chocolate and drinks available to buy. Good amount of parking and outdoor benches for the warm sunny days.Parking: Horseshoe style carpark with 2 entrances / exits, parking bays not marked but room for probably 12 cars comfortably.
